About Us
Tunnell & Tunnell Landscape Architecture
Spencer Tunnell is a fourth generation Atlantan. He knows the city’s culture, topography, soil and climate – as well as those of its neighborhoods. He has designed major landscapes and smaller scale projects, public and private, from the heart of the city to outlying towns and communities.
Spencer chose to go north for college, all the way to the University of Virginia. Upon graduation from UVA Spencer returned to Atlanta and joined the landscape architecture firm, Edward Daugherty Landscape Architect, where he built lifelong friendships and professional relationships.
In 1988 Spencer established his own firm, Spencer Tunnell Landscape Architect. In 1997 he partnered with his late wife, Lisa Martin Tunnell, and changed the firm name to Tunnell & Tunnell Landscape Architecture.
Our team believes that history and architecture impact our designs as much as the climate. We consider how each project relates to and enhances the fabric of our larger community.
We intuitively see the possibilities in every property we encounter, but we do not allow our vision to interfere with yours. We want to make certain that your will is done – and done well.
